I love the ability to connect with others, just like you, who have a heart to serve God and others with their talent and influence. Unity is such a powerful God principle.
The ultimate example of the power of unity is recorded in Genesis 11:1-8.
This is my version.
At one time all the people on the earth spoke the same language. They gathered to build a city and a tower that would reach to the heavens in an effort to make a name for themselves.
That’s were they went seriously wrong. We aren’t called to make our names famous we are called to make Jesus’ name famous. Everything we do should point to Him! Needless to say their efforts got God’s attention.
He looked down he saw the unity of the people and said, “Look! The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!”
But because they had a heart of pride and arrogance God confused their languages and spread them out all over the earth.
That phrase above that's underlined got me thinking. What if the scenario was different. What if our hearts were aligned with God’s heart. What if they beat for the same purposes Love, Compassion, Restoration. What if our common language was LOVE, HOPE and JUSTICE. What if what we got over our own agendas and built lives that point to Him and made His name famous.
I believe God answered all those those "what ifs'"... when we unite and speak the same language nothing will be impossible for us in Jesus name!
My prayer as we launch into this project is that our hearts would become more like His, that they would be so full of LOVE, HOPE and JUSTICE it would become our language, that the confidence in who we are in Christ would strengthen our talents, and the Jesus light we shine would grow our sphere of influence, and draw others to His light. Ultimately it would be more than a project but our way of life!
I love you girls!!

Here is the whole story enjoy!
Genesis 11:1-8
At one time all the people of the world spoke the same language and used the same words. As the people migrated to the east, they found a plain in the land of Babylonia and settled there.
They began saying to each other, “Let’s make bricks and harden them with fire.” (In this region bricks were used instead of stone, and tar was used for mortar.) Then they said, “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”
But the Lord came down to look at the city and the tower the people were building. “Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! Come, let’s go down and confuse the people with different languages. Then they won’t be able to understand each other.”
In that way, the Lord scattered them all over the world, and they stopped building the city.
